What we're looking for...

The Retail Sales Analyst is a critical member of the Retail Strategy team supporting big box home improvement retailers, hardware co-ops, and distributors. Key responsibilities include analyzing and reporting on customer point of sale and shipment data, auditing customer fines, updating monthly billings reports and supporting account teams with ad hoc analysis. This position is data driven, focused on accuracy, skilled at organizing large data sets, and thrive working in a fast-paced environment.

Expectations & Accountabilities...

• Analyze and report category and SKU level point of sale data from retail accounts. Make recommendations based on findings.
• Monthly sales (account/territory/rep) reporting and distribution to account managers.
• Provide ad hoc analysis on sales performance and trends to retail account teams.
• Audit customer fines and contest accordingly.
• Calculate and analyze promotional ROI and assist account teams in evaluation.
• Assist in the monthly and annual Sales Forecasting process.
• Retail pricing analysis including comp shops and movement tracking.
• Organize and maintain customer program data for the retail sales organization.

What you'll need to be successful...

• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite.
• Proficient working with large data sets utilizing pivot tables, v-lookups, and other spreadsheet tools.
• Skilled in data visualization – creating charts, graphs and other data story telling methods.
• Able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Experience in supporting marketing and sales efforts within professional service organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to work with various data sources and maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications that will set you apart...

• 1-3 years working for a consumer-packaged goods company.

Education and Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field, orequivalent work experience.
